"Please... Please, don't..." The victim moaned. A bleeding wound leaving her weak and defenseless. Athena grinned wickedly, sharp teeth gleaming in the dimly lit inn. "Oh, but I must. This is my job, and I love it." Athena thrust the knife into the victims heart, hearing her yelp one last time, then die. Wiping her blade on the victims clothes, she left the Dead Man's Drink inn, waving at the inn keeper like nothing had happened at all. Falkreath's beautiful scenery and blazing heat greeted her, making Athena feel even more tired. The exhausting contract given to her by the Dark Brotherhood left Athena giddy for her soft, warm, bed. There was so many contracts, but so little time to dwell upon her pleasures. Upon reaching the sanctuary door, Athena rushed past Astrid with a quick 'Hello' and practically ran to the spot Veezara usually sat at. To her surprise and disappointment, Veezara was missing. Babette, the un-child, had noticed her wanderings eyes as she searched the sanctuary for Veezara.

"Sister, Veezara is on a very important contract. You will have to... Entertain yourself." Babette gave her a teasing grin, sticking her tongue out at her. Athena crossed her arms at this, smirking at Babette's playfulness. "Well, eldest sister. I will march right to bed. If you happen to see Veezara, please tell him that I'm sleeping." Babette nodded, eyes flaring mischievously. Athena turned on her heel and headed to her room, feeling Babette's eyes burn into the back of her skull. An odd shiver ran up her spine. A sixth sense that something strange was going to happen to her blared loudly in her  head. Shrugging off the growing suspicion, Athena reached her room. It was moderately sized, not too big not too small. That's how she liked it.

Shutting the door with an exhausted sigh, Athena began to remove her armor, placing it on the dresser. Slipping into her nightgown, the smooth silky touch brushed against her body, soothing her frazzled nerves. Jumping into her bed, Athena pulled the covers up to her shoulders, resting her head against the warm pillow. "This is why life is amazing." Athena thought dreamily. Scratch. Eyes flickering open, Athena pushed her body up, examining the room with a tense glare. Nothing. Maybe it was just her imagination? Brushing off the noise, Athena went back to bed.

A few minutes later: SCRATCH, SCUFFLE. Jumping out her bed this time, Athena examined the room more thoroughly. She swore she heard something! But, what? Staring at her dresser, she shoved it out of the way. A rat scurried to the center of the room. Athena squealed in surprise, but relaxed the moment she saw the culprit. Opening her door quietly, the rat bolted out of the room, relieved to be out of there. Athena chuckled at her frazzled nerves, closing the door with a soft thud. Hopping back into bed, Athena shut her eyes and immediately feel back asleep.

The soft hum and echo of the Brotherhood sanctuary always managed to wake Athena up. SCRATCH, SCUFFLE, THUD. Groaning at the odd noises again, Athena covered her face with her hands, this had gone on far enough. Eyes still firmly shut, Athena tired to rise, but couldn't. Squirming around her bed, she noticed that she couldn't move at all. Panic took over. Eyes snapping open, a familiar grin and face was inches above her own. "GOOD MORNING!!!" The person yelled. Athena shrieked in horror, thrashing about. "Stay still, stay still!" Athena froze at the voice, calming her nerves, she took the time to examine the persons face. Eyes slowly opening.

"CICERO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?!"

Athena screamed at the top of her lungs, bewildered by his still remaining grin. "Cicero is bored!" Cicero whined, head slumping forward. Athena tried to move her hands, but could not move them. Realization struck her hard across the face. Cicero was on top of her, holding her down. An awkward silence filled the room. "Uh... Cicero?" Athena looked into his eyes, the playful shimmer still intact. "Yes, Athena?" Cicero smiled ear to ear. "Why are you... On top of me?" Athena squirmed slightly, emphasizing her question. "Athena, Cicero told you, he was bored." Cicero giggled mischievously, leaning towards Athena until there noses were touching. Athena blushed deeply, her cheeks burning brightly.

Cicero noticed this, giggling at Athena's shyness. Cicero leaned down and gave Athena a chaste kiss. Eyes widening in shock, Athena returned the kiss with uncertainty. Cicero realized what he had done, wrenching his body back in fear. Athena's blush had remained, an uncertain frown on her face. "Cicero is sorry. H-he didn't mean to..." Cicero jumped out of the bed, making his way towards the door. All of a sudden, he was yanked back towards the bed, falling on top of it with a loud thud. Athena pounced on top of Cicero, a smitten look on her face. "Who said you could leave?" Athena purred. Cicero grinned like the Fool he was.

Babette walked around the sanctuary, noting that there was a lot of noise coming from Athena's room... A squeal of laughter and realization erupted in the sanctuary, along with the mysterious noise in Athena's room...
